...appearance*
physical... It's hard to see what AR looks like under her clothes. She tends to favor leggings with knit skirts. The skirts usually fit tight, but the prints are so atrocious that people don't tend to look at it too closely. Up top, she always wears baggy sweaters. No matter the weather, there is always a sweater. The uglier the better. Because of this, it's hard to tell that she's a rather voluptuous young lady. She was an early bloomer, and this gained her some unwarranted attention. So, she masks it the best she can.
clothing style... Some might say she's kind of grunge, some might say she's kind of hipster. Either way, her clothes will reflect this at times. She prefers to get her clothes at a thrift shop, because that's where you can find some cool things.
Her wardrobe consists mostly of knit skirts which she wears ontop of leggings. As well as usually very ugly, old, baggy sweaters, and clunky boots. There have been times she's worn jeans, but they are typically pretty baggy as well. It's very rare for AR to show any sort of skin, and there are a few reasons for that...
defining traits... AR tried to stay under the radar, unlike her parents. The fact that she tries to hide tends to make her quite obvious. Plus...it's really hard to miss those horrible prints she has on her clothes.
Beneath the clothes she has a body that could light a room on fire. Curves that would make a motorcyclist nervous. But she does her best to cover them up, because of the teasing she got throughout middle school, and early high school.
Furthermore, her upper arms and shoulders have quite a few scars, with a few more on her legs. Unfortunately, middle school was a hard time for her, and she took it out on herself. She's coping better now, but she's already sort of a freak of nature for having boobs in sixth grade--so she'd rather not get the stares because of stupid mistakes she made when she was younger. ...personal info*
personality... AR is a really kind person, she's sweet. If not a bit shy, and doesn't think of herself as anything special. She's a bit like a deer caught in the headlights most of the time. AR was heavily bullied through middle school, and her first few years of high school, as well with issues at home--it all became a little too much for her.
She sort of retreated in on herself, so she's quite shy and wary of people when they come up to speak with her. But once she trusts someone, she trusts them whole heartedly. At times, she seems to be a ditz, and with the small group of friends--she often makes the joke of 'not having a brain'.
Despite her senior year being by far the best year so far--she's still...not on the greatest terms with her parents. And unfortunately it causes quite a bit of stress for her. She often suffers from tension headaches, and tries to get through those. So you might on occasion see her grasping her head, and if she snaps at you--she really doesn't mean it. Promise.
life until now... When Angel-Rose was born to Regina and Aleksander Voski, she was loved immediately. A spoiled little girl that came from money, she didn't really have to want for anything. But her novelty wore off, and her mother seemingly lost interest in her.
It's not like she outright abandoned her, but it became her father that was her sole confidant. Her mother a little too busy with enjoying the luxury she married into, or going out with friends. Her mother became a sort of distant figure, and there were times AR heard banging and shouting from her parents room as they duked it out.
Angel then started school, and things seemed to be fine. Except she had to learn to raise herself for the most part. Sure, her father worried about her. But her mothers seeming lack of care took a toll on the impressionable child, and at the age of seven years old--she was walking herself to and from school.
Then came middle school, and funny things started to happen. Her hips would brush against the sides of desks that weren't as narrow the previous year. Her shirt sat all wrong on her chest--and from there it only spiraled out of control. She was the first girl in her class to really hit puberty, and she didn't just hit it. She beat the shit out of it.
By seventh grade, and a very uncomfortable growth spurt, AR was now not just the tallest girl in her class--but her bra had already shot up to a C. Unfortunately, the boys took notice. They began to corner her, try to get her to show them. Some of the boys made a joke out of trying to brush up against her in the halls or when passing her desk. The girls disliked her because of the attention she received---wanted or not.
And back home? She couldn't tell her dad, for fear that this would spark another fight. And her mother obviously didn't care, always making passive-aggressive comments about her daughter's bust. So, instead...Angel-Rose kept it bottled up.
Eventually the jar she was keeping all of this in brimmed over. Prying a shaving razor apart, she made the first mark on her shoulders. It released, it distracted her, and it helped her to cry when she felt like she couldn't. The more the marks began to show, the more she started to wear sweaters. Baggier clothes to cover up her chest, to hide the small pinch of her waist.
And she went through this for years. Years, and years, and years.
the present...
Junior years, things began to slow. The jokes got old, and now that there were more interesting girls that were growing into their body, attention was taken off of AR. She began to fight off the urge to hurt herself, and slowly weaned herself off of it--her parents none the wiser.
Yet, now a senior...she's tired. She intends to move out the moment she graduates, because having to try and hide herself at home as well is taking a lot out of her. AR wants her senior year to make up for everything that the past years made her miss. She wants to go to prom, maybe have her first relationship, her first kiss. She's slowly feeling secure in herself, and would like to be confident in herself as well.

title... The Wizard of Oz
backstory... So, Dorothy and her shoe-stealin' ass goes on this freakin' trip to go get her theifen' ass back home. But on the way, her little shit of a dog starts barking at this poor little scarecrow. Dorothy manages to do something right for once, and gets this poor dear out of that weird stick thing. But the scarecrow has a problem--the pore sod ain't got a brain. Which is highly unlikely, because how in the hell would he have motor functions and thought processes if he didn't?
Anyway, his cute little straw backside tags along with Dorothy, hoping to ask the lyin' cheatin' scoundrel The Wizard, for a brain. Maybe the Wizard could give him a BETTER brain, cause he ain't the sharpest tool in the shed, if ya catch my drift.
