Addison Rowe didn’t pass notes in class.
The only notes Addison Rowe wrote in class were ones from power points, or work packets, or textbooks. Addison Rowe did not waste paper for trivial things like notes. She did not waste paper for gossiping about boys and shoe sales and parties. Addison Rowe did not believe in passing notes during class. In fact, she was the person to glare very subtly at the girls passing notes, giggling during a presentation. No. No. NO.
With that said, if Addison Rowe were to ever waste paper and pass notes in a class, that class would be Study Hall. Study Hall was the only exception and she’d only ever pass notes with Andromeda Read, or Andie as she usually went by. Besides, Study Hall wasn’t that important of a class, anyway. It was just a chance to study (which she didn’t need to do right now) or catch up on homework (finished). Some kids slept, others played on their phones, and most just talked with their friends.
Since Andie was the only other student in Study Hall that Addison was close with, she’d made sure to sit next to Andie each class. Yes, there were a couple girls from Book Club that she occasionally sat and talked with, especially if the current book was particularly interesting. (Then again, all books were particularly interesting to Addison). Sitting right next to Andie made passing notes that much easier, which was nice since Addison wasn’t a note-passer in the first place.
Hey! So, okay. I don’t mean to sound crazy or anything, but… well, what’s up with you and that Ozzie kid? You know, the blonde one who eats a lot?

Was it crazy of her to be asking Andie about her relationship? Or was Andie even in a relationship with Ozzie? They certainly seemed close enough, and they spent plenty of time together. Addison folded the note slowly, thinking about whether she even wanted to pass it over to Andie. It’d be just as easy to actually talk to her, like a normal person. All she knew was that it was very mother hen of her to be asking Andie about Ozzie, and with that, she hissed Andie’s name and reached over, setting the note on her desk. At least this way, she wasn’t coming off as super crazy. She was just coming off rather… motherly. [/blockquote][/blockquote]

Andromeda Read passed notes in class more than she liked to admit to Addie.
Really- Andie shouldn't have watched her behavior around the girl as much as she did. It wasn't like Addie was her mother, though she reminded her so much of Allison Read, it still wasn't the same. But Andie didn't like to troll in front of Addie for fear of a scolding, so that was that. She really only passed notes in classes she didn't have with Addison, and only people she didn't think knew who Addison was. God, sometimes she felt like she was hiding a secret boyfriend or something. Which, she really wasn't, she just wasn't mentioning her boyfriend, but it wasn't like it was a secret.
She met Ozzie in that chatroom, they bumped into each other sneaking food, went back to his room and played Mario Kart, and suddenly she was in a relationship. It was pretty funny, to be honest, if you thought about it. Or you were there, either way, she was with Ozzie and things were perf and she wouldn't trade him for all the jars of Nutella in all the world. Well, actu- No, for sure. Not even for Nutella. That was a serious relationship right there.
Study Hall was boring to Andie, and usually she just listened to music and did her homework if Addie wasn't busy. She was usually a bit tired and gross, seeing as it was right after her gym class (it was stupid she still had to take that thing while in two sports), and today she didn't have time to change since she was on the other side of the track from the locker room when the bell rang. Her headphones were still in too, so she barely heard Addie say her name when she noticed her place a note on the desk.
Andie took the earbud Addie-side out, glanced at her, then unfolded the note. It was rare for Addie to pass notes, and when she did, it was usually about something important and not just silly gossip like most other girls did when they passed notes.
When she read it, it took everything she had not to crack up laughing at 'the blonde one who eats a lot'. It was quiet in the room and her obnoxious laugh wouldn't exactly go unnoticed. So Addie didn't know about her and Ozzie. Seriously, Addie had to have known her mother somehow. This was ridiculous.
Digging a pencil from out of her bag (which she had almost forgotten because the stupid gym teacher didn't know how to tell time), she wrote a reply underneath.
Haha, yeah, Ozzie does eat a lot. Anyways, you don't sound crazy at all, we're dating. AR.
She didn't exactly like the word 'dating', but she was exhausted from sprinting still and couldn't really think of any other references Addie would understand. So she folded the paper and put it on Addie's desk. Instantly, she regretted some of her wording, and thought that maybe Addison would be mad that she didn't tell her before or that she was acting like it wasn't a big deal or one of those other things moms scolded about. Addison watched Andie from the corner of her eye, waiting for a response from the girl. Sure, she’d had her headphones in, but Addison hoped that the music wasn’t too loud. That was exactly what her friend would need: to go deaf from having her music be too loud. … Oh, how much of a mother hen could she be? Just because she hardly ever let her music player volume go above a 10 didn’t mean everybody else had to too. Tapping her pen against the desk without realizing she was tapping her pen against the desk, Addison waited, albeit a little impatiently, for Andie to read and answer the note.
Alright, she may not be a pro in reading people, but she was quite sure Andie had almost just laughed. What was so funny about her note? Maybe she had sounded a bit crazy… That would be good enough reason to be laughing, right? Pressing her lips together, Addison made a face at Andie, unsure whether the girl would even see her. Turning away, Addison focused on the notebook in front of her. It was turned to a page full of scribbles that she didn’t remember drawing. Must’ve been during one of her spare moments of time where writer’s block was messing with her creativity.
Andie couldn’t have had better timing, Addison thought, as the note was placed back on her desk. Who knew Addison Rowe could be so impatient? Oh, good! She didn’t sound crazy. But… they were… Furrowing her brows, Addison tried to figure out when Andie Read and Ozzie Wagers could have started dating. Wouldn’t she have noticed? Well… maybe not, she supposed. She tended to be distracted by other things… she guessed… No, no! This was definitely going to bug her. Best just to ask.
Oh. I see. Uhm. Congratulations? When did you guys… like, you know… uh, start dating?

Jeez, was it possible to sound confused and awkward in a note? Apparently. Before she could reconsider what she’d written, Addison folded the note back up and returned it to Andie. … Had she really written ‘congratulations?’ … Who did that? It wasn’t like they were getting married! Oh God, she was so awkward. This would be going so much better if she’d just talk. Would it? Suppressing a groan, Addison set her pen down and dropped her forehead into her palms. Don’t think about how dreadful that was, Addison. Just sit and wait. Andie bit her lip, something she did when she was nervous. Why was she nervous? It's not like Addie could make them stop dating, even if she was the kind of girl to try. She was a Read and she was stubborn about these things, even towards people she loved. No, nothingcould stop her from being with Ozzie except Ozzie or herself. Which wasn't a big deal at that point, she just didn't like to stop new things if they weren't working out, she liked to wait until they did. Except that was irrelevant because her and Ozzie were working perfectly and she had no plans to leave him any time soon. Still, she bit her lip, hoping for Addison's approval. Or just, not disapproval. Her hands began to drum to be beat of the song that just came on until she hand to reach one out to grab the paper from Addie. Tuning the music out, she opened the note and read it. This time she didn't laugh, but only because she would have laughed out loud. Addie was so perfect without even realizing it, how did she do that? She actually wrote congratulations and Andie thought that was the cutest thing ever. With a nonstop smile, she took out her penciland tapped it against her desk a couple times before picking it back up to write. Thanks! Haha. c:
About a week and a half ago. We kind of met in the cafeteria and played Mario Kart all night and then we kind of became a couple. AR.
She wrote the first line right next to the 'congratulations' and the rest under the question. Andie hoped that Addie didn't assume Mario Kart was anything more than it was - she was most definitely not drunk so she didn't fall all over him after knowing him for two seconds, or even five hours. They literally just sat there and played Mario Kart all night until she left in the morning. Folding the piece of paper up, she handed it back to Addie, and went back to drumming her fingers and biting her lip. [/blockquote][/blockquote]
