fun things to do with your character ...besides posting**

if you say you've never procrastinated writing a post, i probably don't believe you. i am an expert on the subject and could totally explain how and why... eventually. but hey, here are fun ways to procrastinate while also using your characters creatively! let's get creative!

older versions
your character may age faster than the pictures of your face claim do, and so this is a solution - face claims for older versions of your character! whether holland roden turns into isla fisher or liam payne turns into ashton kutcher, THIS is where you can post your older face claim ideas.

crackships
ever heard of crackships on tumblr? well, they're manipulated images of celebrities, and it just so happens that some of those celebrities are face claims! seeing a manip of two characters who would never be together can be pretty fun, or pretty funny, so if you find some or want some to be found, post HERE!

music
some songs were just made for our characters... or were some characters made for that song? does a certain song sing of your otp? well, in any case, the music that you listen to for your character can say a lot about them. so it'd be fun to share that music HERE!

genderbends
this trend began with zelda on polyvore, then spread all over the site. you take your character and switch their gender, finding a male face claim for a female or a female face claim for a male. sets are often made on polyvore to accompany the genderbends, but that's not necessary! genderbend your characters HERE.

typing styles
does your character have a particular quirk or style of writing or typing? well, HERE you can post that typing style, whether it's ALL CAPS or all lowercase or thye rlealy aer bda at typnig/speillgn!

ouacstuck
a lot of members here read the popular webcomic homestuck, and apply things from that webcomic to our characters! things like quadrants and patron trolls, anything homestuck/ouac related, you can postHERE.

fun facts
whether it's a food allergy or a phobia, we all have little things we discover about our character as we write more with them, or things too small and random to include in an app. THIS is where you can collect those little-known facts!

survey
have five hours to kill? well you've come to the right place! haha, in all reality though, THIS survey is really good for character development, and it only takes a while if you have a lot of characters. the survey was created by dani and is really fun to do in-character!

in-character study guides
THIS THREAD was started by monica and has only been used by monica, but i think it's a fun way to learn things for school! basically you just fill out a study guide for a class as if one of your characters was filling it out. it's super fun and i'll probably definitely start doing it for school.

canon playbys
THIS is an old thread started by becket way back before i even joined this site, this thread kind of dwindled into obscurity, but maybe we could bring it back! basically what you do is imagine face claims that would fit the canon as opposed to your character, as sort of reimagining them, or like if someone was going to play that canon in a movie. (ex: johnny depp as captain hook).

the ic games board
THIS is a board as opposed to a thread, but the board is filled with fun in-character games that you can post in. from the gif game to if i woke up next to you, these are fun little ways to pass the time.

the ic-cbox
THIS is the ic-cbox, otherwise known as the icebox. this is like a chatroom for your characters, where various shenanigans may arise. usually used after someone suggests "hey guys let's icc" in the regular cbox and a lot of people are like "okay yeah who are you using". friends are made, arguments are had usually involving charley harper, and it's usually fun for everyone.
