...personal info*
personality... Trenton is a happy go lucky kind of guy who seems to have constant energy. He considers himself a survivor and an individual. To some extent he's proud of both his emotional and physical scars, knowing they made him who he is today, and when he can't forget his past he tries to learn from it. He never fit in growing up, and eventually decided to embrace his quirkiness so that he was comfortable with himself. He approaches everything he does with enthusiasm, but once he fails in something he just stays away from it after that.
He tends to come on a little strong to strangers because he ignores social and emotional boundaries. People he meets either love him, or find him irritating, but he tends to oblivious to annoying anyone. His confidence, charisma, and creativity can often help him win over just about anyone. He is closest with the people that encourage his enthusiasm, and he pays special attention to the people who need cheering up.
He's fiercely loyal to his friends, and gets hurt when the loyalty isn't reciprocated. Also, he "adopts" and loves his friends as if they're family because he's never felt like he had a real family of his own. Even with his current family, his brother keeps him feeling like an outcast. As a result, he craves the acceptance of his friends. Without it he feels lonely, and spends much of his time trying to win them back. His darkest times are when he has no support at all. It sends him back to being a scared little boy in the hands of someone who's ready to give him more stripes.
life until now... Trenton was born on March 25, in the slums of New York City. He has no idea who his birth parents were. Instead he bounced around from foster home to foster home. Some of the host families were nice, but they never stuck. Other's were cruelly abusive, hence the scars on his arms or his "stripes" as he affectionately calls them. The only way for Trenton to cope was to stay quietly optimistic, and block out the trauma. He refused to acknowledge what was happening to him, and because of the denial he often remained affectionate towards his abusers.
He was finally adopted at the age of fourteen by a wealthy family in New York. From that point on, he blossomed. Having been robbed of most of his childhood, he decided to makeup for lost time. His new parents had their hands full with the hyper and childish teenager, but they have embraced and loved him just the same. Unfortunately for Trenton, his new siblings, a sister who's two years younger and a brother who's two years older, have not been nearly as accepting, leaving Trenton to feel like something of an outcast in his own home. Having grown up in foster homes, Trenton was used to the feeling.
Because of the difficulty with his siblings, Trenton jumped at the chance to attend Frank L. Baum Academy. His parents were skeptical, having grown protective of their new ward. In fact, they wouldn't even think about letting him go his freshman year. He was given the condition that he had to handle his freshman year of high-school first, but after he got through that year without any issues, his parents caved and let him attend Baum.
the present... Trenton is still living with the same family, and it appears that he's found his permanent home. His sister has finally decided that she can coexist with her new brother. However, his relationship with his brother has become more tense due to jealousy about parental affection on both sides. Luckily for Trenton, he is rarely if ever at home now that attends Baum.
Trenton loves it at school. It feels stable to him, but that's not to say he stays out of trouble. Trenton is frequently disciplined because of what his teachers swear is ADHD, but he makes good grades none the less. He has a wide circle of friends because the child would talk to a brick wall if it would talk back, and is happy with their support. However, he sometimes still feels like an outcast, not really sure that anyone can relate to his past.
other notes... This is my first time doing this, so I hope I did it right.[/blockquote]
...literature*
title... Winnie the Pooh
backstory... In Winnie the Pooh, Tigger was the lovable individual. He shows up out of the blue, and quickly sets about to make friends. Ultimately, he succeeds at winning everyone's heart, except for maybe Rabbit's, but Rabbit has that whole, "I secretly care about the big lug" attitude. He is there to encourage everyone from Pooh to Eyeore, and drags everyone along on his crazy adventures. His child like innocence (which is really just a nice way to naivety) causes him to indulge pretty much any fantasy that someone drops on him (Heffalump hunts anyone?).

tell us about you... Uh... so my name is Taylor, but call me whatever. Sully will probably end up calling me Gigantor (Or Gigantess if I'm feeling especially proper that day). I'm a senior in highschool, and Sully introduced me to this lovely site. I have done zero rping... kind of. It's complicated. [/blockquote]
...writing*
writing sample/freestyle... uh... this is actually from a book I'm writing, but Sully told me I could give you anything so here you have it:
“Hey, Kallie,” I said as we stepped off the last porch step. “Do me a favor, when you and my sister decide to hack government firewall, just be careful.”
“We are,” she promised with a grin. “That’s why we use your computer.”
“You do what?” I yelled, but she was already walking away.
Any other night, I probably would’ve argued that point with her. Computer hacking. Jesus. Lucie and Kallie had one problem. When they were together they were too smart and too bored for their own good. No one in their right mind would decide to break through government firewalls for fun, but my little sister and her best friend had never been normal. I wish I could blame on Kallie, but in all honesty, Lucie is the one with the wild side. Kallie comes up with schemes and never carries them out unless she thinks it’s going to work out well for someone else. Lucie on the other hand is okay with anything as long as it doesn’t cause any serious injuries.
“Hey man, what’s up?” Ben asked beside me.
“I’m thinking about my brat of a sister and her accomplice,” I replied, watching as Kallie sprinted away from David. As David ran past, Lucie casually stuck out her leg and sent him sprawling into the leaves.
“Well that’s weird,” Ben commented, and I rolled my eyes. “Anyways. What did the press conference say?”
“Oh. Just that The Unity is taking over and we’re supposed to grin and bare it.”
“How long do you think it’ll be before that actually effects us?” he asked, taking a sip of his water.
I gave a shrug. How was I supposed to know? I’d never been in a government take over before. Around this time, Kallie came running by and Ben reached out and grabbed her arm, pulling her to a sharp stop. Glaring at him she snapped, “If I get caught this is on you.”
“Okay,” he said. “You can hold me responsible for you losing a game of cops and robbers. I can live with that.”
“Whatever,” she said, rolling her eyes and going to pull out of his grip.
“Hold up,” he sighed. “I need your opinion on something.”
That got her attention. Ben had been the worse about accepting the fact that the age difference between him and Kallie didn’t mean much. She was two years younger than Ben and I, and he spent a lot of his time wanting to coddle her and talk down to her. She spent a lot of her time spitting his words back in his face and trying to prove herself. She may have had the mind of an adult, but she had the self-control of a teenager. The result was a saintly little smart ass that would give you whip lash in a heartbeat; she was like a lemondrop. Sometimes you have to get through all the sour to get to the sweet.
