It took Victoria two seconds to decide that she still hated the mall. All the bodies moving around and talking loudly like there was no one else in the world. It annoyed her to no end when she passed by a group of teens and they started laughing for no pointed reason at all. What was that? God, she hated teenagers. Ana laughed herself at that. She pointed out that Victoria was a teenager to which Victoria audibly growled and scared the lady in front of her. Before the woman could turn around, Victoria was walking the other direction. Thanks a lot, she thought to the now quiet Anastasia.
She began to remind Ana that Victoria was never a real teenager with parties and cliches and personalities as deep as a puddle. She had basically been a mini-adult since her father dropped her off at Baum Academy and said nothing, not even a goodbye. Now her eighteenth birthday was around the corner and she wouldn’t celebrate it with a dumb party. No, she was to be in the office, taking what was rightfully hers. Contracts would be signed and there would be much paperwork. A party was unnecessary. Ana wondered who Victoria would invite anyway considering she had pushed away all her friends.
That’s when she stopped suddenly, overwhelmed by this thought. She would be completely alone after she turned eighteen. Her aunt would leave and Victoria would most certainly fire the man she now calls her boss. His way of handling the company was stupid and dishonest. She hated doing his work. Yet... she’d still be alone. Victoria looked around the mall once again. She’d completely forgotten why she’d entered such establishment in the first place. She was lost in more ways than one. Ana frowned and tried to put a comforting hand on Victoria’s shoulder. The girl quickly shrugged it off. Today would not be the day she broke. No, Victoria would keep it together and--Dry cleaning! She was there to pick up the dry cleaning. Victoria nodded to herself and headed that way.
