...basics*
name... Natalie Diana Hunter
nickname... Nicholas occasionally calls me Nat, and very infrequently revisits 'Nalee,' usually when he wants something. It was how he pronounced it as a baby.
age... 28
gender... Female.
grade... Long since graduated.
occupation... I have a special set of skills, that are occasionally used to pay certain bills, but Nicky usually takes care of that.
hometown... La Jolla, CA. It should be noted that we moved around a lot.
sexuality... I have a preference for men.
personification... Sebastian Moran
status... Dormant.
face claim... Analeigh Tipton[/blockquote]
...appearance*
physical... I recall once, when I was a teenager, my mother describing my features as 'walking the thin line between hideous and stunning.' Real confidence booster, mom is.
Having spent the next few years staring at my face, deciding what I liked and didn't like about it, I will tell you that first and foremost, I love my eyes. They're blue, that fade into a greenish color the closer they get to my pupils. When I wear makeup, I usually accentuate them. My skin is nice, maybe a bit pale, but very smooth. My eyebrows annoy me, they're rather prominent, and keeping up with them is a hassle. Lastly, my lips. I hate my lips. They're oddly shaped, and they jut out, and make the entire bottom half of my face look weird. They're awful.
I'm thin, not due to malnutrition or anything, but I'm rather active, and my metabolism is high. In addition to this, I am tall. I have long, awkward, lanky limbs that bend in weird ways, and always seem to be in the way. My breasts are nothing to write home about, and I don't have much of a butt. I'm not one of the girls who gets asked out, but I have been told that men find me...intimidating to approach. Apparently, I grew into my awkward looks and erred on the side of 'stunning.'
clothing style... I tend to stick to clothes that are comfortable, and I'm a big fan of blazers. My normal look is a plain t-shirt with a blazer on top, well-fitted jeans, and either low heels or tennis shoes. I like something I can move around in, and you'll even find me in a dress from time to time. Not very often, as Nicky usually says something snarky about it.
defining traits... Nicky tells me that I have a bitchy face. I don't mean to, but after a lifetime of moving around, leaving friends, and making new enemies (especially in high school), I tend to carry myself with a stand-offish demeanor. That's not to say I never smile, though. I will say that people appreciate a sunny day after weeks of rain, so I tend to keep my smiles to myself, or Nicholas.
I also have two tattoos. The first I got while swept up in my first great love. It is on my right shoulderblade, and it is lyrics from 'Plainsong' by The Cure. 'Sometimes you make me feel like I'm living at the edge of the world, like I'm living at the edge of the world. "It's just the way I smile," you said.' Nicholas offered to have it removed, but I keep it in testament to my memories. I also have a tiger crawling down the left side of my ribcage. That one is a bit more professional looking, and I got it because I love tigers. A Lot.[/blockquote]

life until now...
Private Daniel Hunter was not expecting Diana St. Cloud to make such an impact. A young marine, Daniel was doing what most young marines do with too much downtime after their first tour. Plowing through as many young, willing females as possible. Scores of women, ranging from one-night-stands his buddies made fun of to girls way out of his league, Daniel savored all the ladies he possibly could before one night, during an existential crises where he wondered at the point of it all, Diana St. Cloud pushed a Miller Light in front of him.
He studied her. She was not conventionally attractive, but something about the geography of her face, and the way she held herself so confidently made him feel...different. The night went on, and surprisingly, at the end of the night, all he had of her was a phone number and an enigmatic promise that she'd see him soon.
Soon, he was calling her, begging to take her out on the town. Something was different about Diana St. Claire, something that actually made him want to see her again. Their courtship was a brushfire, a single spark that took on a life of its own, way too quickly. Soon, Daniel would be going back out, special orders. Devastated at the thought of losing one another, Daniel proposed after only 3 months. She accepted and they eloped within the week, much at the protestation of their friends and families. Diana was a gold-digger, Daniel was a violent womanizer. They ignored the criticisms, lost in their passion for each other. By the time that Daniel shipped out, Diana was 2 months pregnant.
She cursed Daniel many times in the months that grew, as her belly grew larger than she ever thought possible. She opted out of knowing anything about the ultrasounds, wanting to keep the sex of the baby a secret from herself (and secretly wishing for a son), but they had to inform her that she was expecting twins. This news was distressing; she was going to have to take care of TWO newborns by herself? Even if it was only a couple of months, the thought was enough to send her into panic mode. Her attacks got so stressful, in fact, that she ended up delivering her children one month early. A little boy and a girl. Of course she loved them as soon as she held them, but that didn't stop her from panicking.
Natalie and Nicholas were a handful, and Diana was suffering from Post-Partum depression. The combination was not good, and she frequently fantasized about getting rid of one of them, if only to ease her burden. And though she had sworn not to choose favorites, Nicholas was the one safe from her daydreams. She needed help.
Help came in the form of one of Daniel's friends, who had been injured in the line of duty and sent home with a monthly stipend. Joseph was close to Daniel, and realized that Diana needed somebody to ensure her sanity until Daniel came home.
The remaining months flew by, and Daniel returned home to his loving family, endlessly thanking Joseph for helping out. Finally, things leveled out, and the Hunters were a happy family, with Joseph remaining close.
Natalie was Daniel's secret favorite. A true daddy's girl, her first word was Daddy, and she always crawled to meet him at the door when he came home. Her and Nicholas were of course, inseparable, but Daniel noticed something odd about their dynamic. Where Nicholas went, Natalie went. When Nicholas said 'stop,' Natalie stopped. It was clear that Natalie defaulted to her brother. Which would have been cute, if not for the fact that Natalie started getting in trouble around Two. Daniel suspected Nicholas of putting ideas in Natalie's head, and her carrying out his orders.
This caused a rift between Daniel and Diana, because while Daniel worried about his son, Diana never could see the fault in her baby boy. She found herself jealous of her own daughter as Daniel spent noticably more time with Natalie than he did even with her. She felt neglected, as though the man she married was gone. The passion was gone, it seemed as though they were only together for the kids, and even then, they couldn't agree on which one they even liked.
Frustrated, she turned to Joseph. They had gotten close while Daniel was gone, and there were a few moments, but nothing Diana like to think about. She was the doting wife, obviously. Infidelity was NOT her style. But as Daniel slipped away from her, Joseph listened to her, cared for her, and even agreed that the problem child was definitely Natalie.
The family picked up and moved often, but even then, the affair between Diana and Joseph carried on, picked up strength even. Daniel was not a stupid man, and even Natalie picked up on something odd about Uncle Joseph's frequent calls to her mother.
And then, when the twins were 5, Daniel had to go, yet again. It was a shorter trip, and he wasn't going overseas. Just out of state. He'd be back in three weeks. Natalie was devastated, but Nicholas was there to comfort her, even as Diana resented Natalie for crying so much. It was that little brat's fault that Daniel was lost to her. It was all her fault. If she had just never been born, if only Nicholas was an only child. How dare she cry, when Diana couldn't even drum up enough feeling for her husband to feel sad?
Natalie came home from school the next day with Nicholas, and while they were doing their homework, Natalie heard something odd coming from their mother's bedroom. She alerted her brother, who nonchalantly told her to go check it out. But be quiet about it.
She crept up to the room and peered in the keyhole, to see Uncle Joseph attacking her mother. Her eyes widened, and she didn't know what to do. She ran to tell her brother, who looked strangely gleeful. "I think we should call daddy." He said. The phone was in her hands in an instant, as she told her father what she saw. "Do you want me to stop him? Should I call the police?" She asked, in a quiet hysteria, while Nicholas brushed her hair to calm her down. Her father was silent a long time before telling her that no, he would be back soon to take care of it.
