clothing style She works two jobs, both of them waitressing . One is early in the morning, the other late at night so she doesn't miss school, but because she's always late, you'll normally ee her in one of the two waitress uniforms.
distinctive traits She's always smiling, flashing her pearly whites and deep dimples. She has big brown eyes and long, thin legs.
...personal*
personality Her personality is very different for a high school Junior. She keeps her head up most of the time, very ambitious. She hopes to own a restaurant, so she's always setting some kind of money goal, and striving to fulfill it. She's achieved "Most Likely to Succeed" three years in a row.
She's always...nice. Of course, all girls are nice these days, but she's more of a "Do unto others" kind of girl. SHe spends her free time at soup kitchens, teaching autistic kids how to play basketball, etc. She'll always be the girl that's therefor you through thick and thin, no matter what.
Lastly, she is pretty feisty. People refere her to Tia the Activist because she's always fighting for someone or something. Because her plan B job is to be an attourney, she's practicing her skills of "fighting for the justice of the people" as she would say.
That's pretty much Tia. (:
past At age nine, Tia's father died, rightin the midst of achieving his dream to own a restaurant. Because her mother had no money to pay for the house they lived in at their last home in Louisiana, they moved here to a small, one bedroom apartment. Tia had to go to a new school with, dare I say, Northerners who proceeded to ask her "If they wore shoes down there". Although Tia hated it here, she knew it was for her mother, and she knew her father would want her to stick it out, just like he did.
At age twelve, people began to see that she was, well, different. She had the same dresses and clothes on every week, every year, and every special occasion. SHe never had a lunch, and when someone gave her something, she kept it, and saved it for dinner that night. She wasn't like the rich kids. So, at this age, people left her alone, taunted her, laughed at how poor she was. She sat alone for most of the year.
At age fourteen, her mother came into some money. She'd found her husband's will in one of her cookbook's nestled in between two of his favorite recipes. He'd left them all that he'd saved up for his restaurant, which was a mere 10,00- dollars. With this, they bought useful things, as to not get to where they were before. they saved half for bills, and the other half for clothing, food, etc. Tia finally got new clothes, and grew the confidence to talk to more people. People began realizing she was a normal girl, and accepted her into their school. (:
present As for the present, Tia is a well-rounded individual who is member of almost every club you can think of. SHe's captain of Future Business Leaders of America, and keeps her grades up to high A's while balancing two jobs. A regular wonder woman, she is, but to her, it's all for her father.
As I stated before, she's wanting to own a restaurant. She's already looking for places to start with, and has already been looking at colleges for her plan B, but hopefully there will be no Plan B. I suppose you're wondering why she hasn't signed up for a Colonery Art School. Well, It's because she believes that cooking comes from the heart, not a textbook and an instructor.
That's about it for her present...
family SHe has one parent, her mother. Her father passed away several years ago, and she has been, and always will be, an only child.
likes Cooking, History, singing, Writing, Waitressing
dislikes People who don't try, spiders, cats, mean people, asparagus

"Momma, I'm home." whispered a restless voice, followed by the shutting, almost creaking, of a door. It was dark out, only around the hour of three when Tia creeped towards her mother's bedroom, where her "Denny's" uniform was folded neatly in one of the old chest of drawers. She then snuck out of the silent room, her mother still snoring lightly, unaware of her daughter's presence.
Moments later, Tia was in the living room where the pull-out couch bed was already pulled out, ready to be slept in. Although her mother knew she was never home to sleep soundly until the weekend, she still, out of habit, made her bed every night before bed. Tia smiled at the thought. "Oh, momma. I don't have time. Why can't you get that through that stubborn head of yours?" she laughed to herself easily as she exchanged her "Ben's" uniform for the Denny's one.
A half-hour or so passed untiil she made it into the driveway of the busy restaurant. She could already smell the grease and eggs before she stepped inside. "Sorry I'm late!" she called out to the workers, who were too busy to even acknowledge her. A biker smiled at her, a mouthful of waffles. "Oh, It's alright darlin'. We're doing just fine!" Tia wasn't sure if this was a compliment or a negative comment, but disregarded it with a light smile. For the next four hours, she would work at a breakfast restaurant until it was time for school. This would be a long night.
