personality Castel is, to say the least, rebellious. He's the type of guy that's never up to any good. Sure, he has his nice spots, but you can't forget his bad streak- it's a mile wide. His therapists all said it was most likely due to his absent father and depressive mother, but Castel has to disagree. You see, he knows stuff- he's got street sense, some academic knowledge, and as he'll call it religious comprehension. Contrary to popular belief, Castel is strictly Jewish. Sure, he'll denounce it, call it fake- but he's never strayed. Although, he's never really suceeded at following the ten commandments. Relationship wise, Castel is full of himself- cocky and confident. He's been with just as many girls as guys, although it doesn't mean much to him.
past Catalina Maria met 17-year old Miguel Simons when she was only fifteen, and she was lovestruck. She was convinced the two would be together forever, and Miguel went along with the lovely girl's thoughts- even though the day laborer didn't feel the same. Pedro Maria, Catalina's father, was a wealthy lawyer who warned his absentminded daughter that bad might happen if she didn't think this through.
He was, of course, right.
A year later, Dezi Castel Simons was born to a glowing Catalina and Miguel. By the end of May, Miguel had left Catalina for another woman. Saying that Catalina was heartbroken would be an understatement. She left most of her responsibilities for Dezi to her aging parents, deciding that he was too much 'like Miguel'. By the time Dezi was in second grade, Catalina couldn't even get out of bed in the mornings- causing the young child to learn to fend for himself. Dezi was sweet though- all his teachers and classmates loved him. He was clumsy, but always cared for the best- he was favored by all the little girls more then his counterparts.
By the time he entered middle school, Dezi decided to change. He became tougher, rougher, and demanded to be called by his middle name. But, Castel was smart. While most people were using their fists, Castel learned how to use words to convince and hurt. He listened to gossip, and soon became a source of knowledge. He always prided himself on knowing everything, something he still does today. Castel knew when to say what, to who. He was always very good at intimidating people, and that helped.
He mellowed out a little before middle school ended, and ultimately decided he wanted to get away from his family. He left Brazil, deciding to go to New York, America. Hey, it couldn't be called the land of Opportunity for nothing, right?
present Castel currently is a senior Baum Academy, and is studying to become a dentist. He's currently single, and hates it- Castel doesn't do single. Other then being on the ultimate frisbee team, Castel currently also works for the school newspaper. He enjoys working for the newspaper, since it is a constant source of information and he's like, ADHD about that.
Castel works at a local coffee shop, and actually is kind of fond of it. He spends most of his time out of school inbetween the coffee shop and the library. He is currently reading War and Peace. His mother's condition has deteriorated, and as far as he knows, she's constantly battling illness. Every Saturday he'll creep out to go to synagouge, even though Castel tries to keep it a secret. His friend Caroline is the only one that knows, and he wants it to stay that way. Bad.

backstory The Cheshire Cat is introduced as the Duchess' pet in the chapter Pig and Pepper- to which Alice is baffled by. After she leaves and the baby turns into a pig, the Cheshire Cat appears and has a conversation with Alice- going over how Wonderland is and where to go. He later shows up during to croquet match with the queen, and gets in a verbal battle with her- causing the queen to demand his head to be cut off. This leads to general confusion, as only the Cat's head is visible and the excutioner asks how you can cut the head off of only a head.

rp sample Christiano wandered down the streets, eyes flickering back and forth from store to store. One of his friends had told him of a small little camera store around here, and Christiano wanted to check it out before school took over his life. He clicked his tongue in concentration, and tightened his jacket around himself. There was a slight chill to the air, and being from a desert, Christiano was a bit pathetic with the cold. He quickened his pace. Finding the store, cornily named 'CHEESE!', he opened the door and walked in. It was fairly empty, with only a few people milling about. Walking briskly to the video cameras, he looked around. Christiano looked at the cameras, interested in getting one.
School was getting more and more complicated, unfortunately, and he wasn't easily passing his classes. Film Studies was getting stressful, it wasn't just saying whether the film was good or not; Christiano actually started having to pay attention. On top of that, his freckles started to come back, and it was so humid his hair was starting to curl. Some days he just wanted to go back home to Las Vegas, since he didn't really know anyone here.
Christiano admired one of the more expensive video cameras- it was a little more then he wanted to spend, but what was a little splurge here and there? He adjusted his jacket, and thought over it. Whatever, he was gonna buy it anyway. He grabbed a box and headed over to the absentminded clerk.
