Robin loved her job as a delivery girl. Of course the large paycheck and the kick ass boss helped a lot too. It was where her adept skills came into use. She felt like she had a purpose, a reason to keep with it.
She was finishing up her rounds for the day, but the snow wasn't helping much. Whenever she tried to go over 50 MPH, she began to slide. Sliding meant there was a chance her truck could be damaged. And her truck was her baby, so that was a no-go.
Robby was tempted to call her boss, just to taunt him, but she decided against it. If he got angry at her, Garrett would be violent. Ever since she started working for him, Robin had to restrain that beast off a man.
The radio was tempting her, Robin wanted to turn it on. The sight of her work place turned her against it though Robin hopped out of the beat up Chevy's cab, making sure it was locked before turning away. Garrett had called her at the beginning of her round, apparently he had something important to tell her.
Robin got nods and a few waves from various people throughout the building. Her favorite hat was turned sideways, and it sat slightly ajar atop her head. She was in a good mood, otherwise there would be no hat at all.
Sauntering into his office, Robin smiled at Garrett. "You rang?" She went and sat on a table in the corner of the room. She was actually curious as to what he was going to tell her. But she had a class to teach in a few hours, and there was no way in hell she'd be late.

Garrett sat in his office, most of the building being dark as half the staff had already left and the ones that had stuck around were slowly trickling out. The only other person he expected to come in that night was Robin, head of the delivery branch. She would be coming in for a nice little chat with himself and Jason. Garrett had noticed altely that there were some flowers that had mysteriously vanished from her branch and a few dollars missing form the books.
It was time to take action. Garrett loved Robin and the amazing ways she managed to navigate on the New York roads, but if she was letting the rats that delivered the other flowers get away with thievery that he was going to have to intervene.
He squeezed the foam stress ball in his hand that had been so generously gifted to him by his father for Christmas. It was imprinted with a rose, perfect for Garrett.
He barely noticed when Robin strolled in. He was too busy thinking about all the numbers that he had been sent in the daily email outlining sales and revenue.
"You rang?"
" Minus two seventy six. Ugh... And yeah. Come in, sit down. We're just waiting for Jason."

Jason was leaning lazily against a wall in an alley next to Last Petal LLC. He had a cigarette in his hand, but wasn't concentrating on it. Instead of smoking it, he let it burn and the ash flutter onto the ground.
He was worried, or rather, he was slightly, ever so slightly, concerned. Garrett had asked him to stick around today, saying that he needed to talk to him about something important. Could it be that he smelled a rat already? No, Jason hadn't implemented any phase of his plan except simply getting to know the guy...
Sighing, he brought the cigarette to his lips, or what was left of it anyway. When he saw that it had burned away to almost nothing while he was distracted, he shook his head and stamped it out. Just as he was reaching into his pocket to take out another one, he heard a screech of tires. Ah, this would be whoever Garrett wanted to see at the same time... he'd forgotten about that. He couldn't be in trouble then...
Jason withdrew his hand from his pocket and wandered slowly around the corner. Eventually, he entered the office. Although not many people were still here at this time, he could still feel the ones who were watching him interestedly. Damned women, not even bothering to hide their interest...
When Jason reached Garrett's personal office, he knocked on the doorframe and peered around it. Inside he saw Garrett sitting at his desk, while an attractive young woman with red hair and her hat turned sideways stood in front of it. "What's all this about, then, Grizzly?" he asked with a grin, watching the stress ball in his employer's hand carefully.

" Minus two seventy six. Ugh... And yeah. Come in, sit down. We're just waiting for Jason."
Robin waited. She didn't know WHY he needed Jason here, but it couldn't be good. "Shit." She murmured quietly under her breath. Robin was worried about just how much trouble she was in. Knowing what she did about Garrett, it wasn't her. It was someone below her. She didn't want to, but if she had to re-train her employees, she would.
"What's all this about, then, Grizzly?"
Her mood sank as Jason walked into the doorway o the room. Really, he was just a reminder of an angry boss that was sure to come. Robin held back a finch as he walked up and stood next to her. She wasn't particularly fond of him per say, but she could put up with him and that was all that mattered.
"Okay. Jason's here now. Lay it on me." Robby cringed. That probably wasn't the best choice of words. But it was too late for that now. She had gotten right to the point. Robin wanted to know what was going on, so god dammit, she would know what was going on.

"What's all this about, then, Grizzly?"
Instead of responding, Garrett chose to merely glare at his employee( Equal?) in mild annoyance. Sure, if it were any other employee he would get up and rip his goddamn throat out, but with Jason it was different, and unfortuanately, he knew that. Garrett wouldn't risk blindly murdering the person he was preening to replace him when he moved up and on to bigger and better things.
" Okay, fine. You wanna know? The truth is I've been getting some VERY depressing reports back from your sectors. Did you know that over 50 flowers and $500 have mysteriously vanished into the blue from your shopfront? That's alot. So my reasoning is that we need that to come to an ABRUPT end..."
He looked at both of them, looking each in the eye before continuing. He knew that probably neither of them would like his final decision, but hell, that's what being the boss entailed, absolute and unquestioning obedience.
" So I have decided that in favor of finding out who the rat is and putting a stop to it, we'll have Jason start going on all the routes with your girls, just to scare them a little while we sort this out. I was thinking that he would start with you, Robin, so your girls know what's going on."

Jason snickered at Garrett's glare, and internally at Robin's reply, that girl needed to watch how she phrased things around him. He listened to the other man's rant with little interest at first but became more attentive as it went along. Working with Robin and her girls? This was looking very interesting. And starting out with Robin? Even better! He'd never liked that girl much, this could be a perfect opportunity to torture the hell out of her. He wiped the smile off his face.
"That sounds okay with me. If we're having trouble then I'm more than happy to...sort the girls out." At this point he made a sideways glance in Robin's direction to see how she was taking it, but he couldn't tell.
Jason looked back at Garrett before asking, "When are we going to start all this? Tomorrow?" He then turned to Robin and whispered the uncensored version, "I'm looking forward to having little red as my first ride of the day." Hoping Garrett hadn't heard, he watched Robin's face intently for a reaction. Hopefully, this would be priceless. He made sure to keep his face straight, but didn't even bother to try hiding the sparkle in his eyes. Life is good for the mischief makers, he thought to himself.

Robin made sure her face stayed stoic. This was for the good of the business after all. But Jason wasn't helping the situation. At all. In fact he was being the most obnoxious person on the face of the earth. Although Robby was fairly sure he knew this and was taking it in stride. But he just kept poking the god damned bear.
"I'm looking forward to having little red as my first ride of the day."
A strong grip on wanting to keep her job was possibly the only thing that kept her from whacking Jason right side back ways. Was he serious? Didn't he know her capabilities? Though she tried her best, Robin could feel her eye twitch a little. The skin over her knuckles paled as Robin balled her hands into fists behind her back.
"If that's all, Then do you mind i I speak with Jason about the matter?" She waited for Garrett's approval before motioning for Jason to follow her out into the hall. She was going to tell him straight up what not to do to her truck. Quiet;y, a hiss escaped under her breath. "And I can't wait to have the big bad wolf as my first road pizza of the day." This was accompanied by a not so light sock on the arm.
